GRAPHTEC CUTTER & PLOTTER SERVICE • TAMPA BAY · LAKELAND · ORLANDO
Graphtec cutting plotters are the workhorse of most sign and wrap shops in Florida. When one stops tracking, stops cutting clean, or stops moving altogether, production stops with it.
Our service network reviews inquiries during business hours and responds as soon as practical. Response times vary based on message volume, service requirements, and the information needed to assess the request.
Graphtec Plotter Repair
We service Graphtec cutting plotters on site across Tampa Bay, Lakeland, Orlando and the surrounding counties. Most of the work we see is mechanical: worn drive belts, tracking that drifts over a long cut, cutting heads that have lost downforce, grit rollers that no longer grip, and media feed that wanders. These are the faults that quietly cost you material every day before they finally stop the machine.
We are an independent service provider. We are not Graphtec, and we are not a Graphtec-authorized dealer. That independence is why we can usually get to you quickly and why we will tell you honestly when a job is not one we should take.
Before you book: two things worth knowing
If the machine is under three years old
A Graphtec that is less than three years old is very likely still inside its manufacturer warranty. Warranty work has to go through Graphtec or the dealer who sold it to you. If we open it, you risk that cover, and you would be paying us for something you may be entitled to at no cost. Check your purchase date before you call anyone. If it is three years old or older, warranty is almost certainly behind you and we can help.
On the FC8000 and FC8600, what we do and do not repair
On these two models we handle mechanical repair: drive belt replacement, carriage and cutting head wear, rollers, media feed and tracking, and general servicing.
We do not carry out board-level electronic repair on the FC8000 or FC8600. If the diagnosis points at the main electronic board, we will say so plainly rather than sell you hours chasing it. You would be charged only for the time spent identifying the fault, and we will tell you what your realistic options are from there.
The FC9000 is a newer platform and we take a wider range of work on it, including mechanical service and setup and calibration. Tell us the fault and we will confirm what we can do before anyone travels.
Graphtec faults we are commonly asked to look at
Cut quality and tracking
- Contour cuts drifting out of registration over a long job
- Cuts not closing, or start and end points not meeting
- Inconsistent cut depth across the width of the media
- Registration mark sensing failing or misreading
- Blade dragging, tearing or lifting the vinyl
Mechanical and media feed
- Drive belt worn, stretched, frayed or slipping
- Media wandering or walking off the rollers during a cut
- Grit rollers polished or no longer gripping
- Carriage movement rough, noisy or binding
- Cutting head downforce inconsistent or lost
Models and support confirmation
We are asked most often about the FC9000, FC8600 and FC8000, and we also see related Graphtec cutting plotters. Model coverage is confirmed case by case, because the right answer depends on the fault as much as the model. Send us the model number, the age of the machine and a description of what it is doing, and we will tell you before we travel whether this is a job for us.
Parts
Where a job needs a part, such as a drive belt or a cutting head component, we quote it at market price with no markup added. You are welcome to supply the part yourself, and many shops do. If you supply it, we fit it and charge for labor and travel only, but we cannot warrant a part we did not supply.
Service areas
On-site Graphtec service across Tampa, Lakeland, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Brandon, Orlando and the surrounding Central Florida and Tampa Bay counties. If you are outside that area, ask anyway and we will tell you honestly whether the travel makes sense for you.

FAQ
Do you repair Graphtec cutting plotters?
Yes. We service Graphtec cutting plotters on site in Florida, including the FC9000, FC8600 and FC8000. What we can take on depends on the fault and the age of the machine, and we confirm that with you before anyone travels.
Can you replace the drive belt on an FC8600 or FC8000?
Yes. Drive belt replacement is one of the most common Graphtec jobs we are asked for, and it is squarely inside what we do on those models.
Can you repair the electronic board on an FC8000 or FC8600?
No. We do not carry out board-level electronic repair on those models. If the fault is the board we will tell you straight away rather than run up hours on it.
My Graphtec is two years old. Can you fix it?
Probably not, and for a good reason. A machine that age is likely still under the manufacturer warranty, and going outside that warranty could cost you cover you have already paid for. Check the purchase date and speak to Graphtec or your dealer first. Once it is three years or older, come to us.
Do you carry Graphtec parts?
We source parts as each job needs them and quote them at market price with no markup. You can also supply your own part and we will fit it.
